Comments: Bob Seger took center stage Saturday
night and the Van Andel Arena was the perfect stage for him to
showcase the band and Seger's classic rock hits. This
was the final arena show for the band and they were hitting on all cylinders.
The band was well rehearsed and the sound
was right on during the 2 hour plus concert. Except for
a private concert next week for Walmart, this was the final
stop of the Spring tour for the band. On this night,
Horizontal Bop moves into the setlist while Downtown Train
takes a break. Now, it is time for Bob Seger and Silver
Bullet Band to take a well deserved break. Over the next
few month's, Mr. Seger will decide whether to tour the cities
he missed on this Spring tour.
According to a recent
interview, Bob Seger has hinted he may return in late fall
to play the cities that he hasn't traveled to during the
Spring tour, but a final decision hasn't been made.

within months, Rod Stewart released the song so Bob shelved his until now. A mention of that is
here. The Bob Seger version is
available for listening

Comments: The famous final scene played out to a glorious ending on a beautiful St. Patrick's Day in the Motor City.
The sold out boisterous crowd was in high spirits tonight with many of Bob's and Silver bullet Band family members in attendance.
Of course, Kid Rock is in the house and Bob & kid perform "Real Mean Bottle" to a thunderous ovation. As with
the other Detroit shows, Bob and the band throw down a spirited rendition of "Nutbush City Limits" just like they did at
Cobo in 1975. The band also plays "Still the Same" in lieu of "Night Moves". Bob was in the dedicating mode and
dedicates "Old Time Rock and Roll" to his daughter's piano teacher. "Good For Me" from "Against
the Wind" is played for the first time and dedicated to Bob's wife. "Rock and Roll Never Forgets is dedicated
to the entire crew who worked on the tour. Just like 32 years ago, the tape machines were rolling in high gear for a possible DVD.
Bob mentions in an interview, the lighting and sound wasn't up to par at the Auburn Hills concerts in December. After the show,
a party for 400 friends and family is held at Joe Louis. Olympia Entertainment renames the star dressing room, the "LIVE BULLET"
room in honor of Mr. Seger.
